Technical Writer w/ Document Management.
Technical Writer with document Management experience
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical writing background, compiling technical information into clear, concise, documentation. Experience in document lifecycle, workflow and document management/control is highly desired. The candidate must also be able to plan and execute on client deliverables as well as be able to coordinate with client communications, all within a dynamic fast paced environment.
DUTIES
Map existing documents to conform to the standard templates for different document types.
Convert existing document from Word to a Procedure Writing Tool.
Use Procedure Writing Tool to quickly create and edit professional documents.
Assist all departments with various documentation needs, including creation of new forms, drawings, schematics, artwork, policy, guidelines, procedures and work instructions.
Write consistent, clear documentation that presents complex information simply and accurately
Research, develop, edit write, and publish technical materials for different operations related to the Pipeline industry.
Perform organization layout and production of Manuals, Procedures, Work Instructions, Standards, Guidelines and Policies.
Responsible for the management, control and storage of all externally and internally developed documents.
Organize and maintain documents, adhering to the company's document lifecycle procedures, and archive inactive records in accordance with the records retention schedule.
Education and
Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in related technical field.
Candidates must have at least 2
years of experience in a technical writing and document control specifically in the oil and gas industry.
Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Adobe Acrobat.
Experience with Document Management
Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to quickly become familiar with technology concepts
Familiarity with LMS preferred.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
