What we are looking for:
The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating automated/process control manuals for internal and external users.
Responsible for the technical writing aspect of proposal generation, project documentation and company materials. This role requires ability to meet project schedule deadlines related to this activity.
Proposal/Technical Document Development
The Technical Writer is responsible for document development, duplication and distribution of developed materials for proposals, projects and company materials such as presentations, publications, and white papers.
Maintain detailed records and original files of all technical documents and revisions.
Schedule a strict review process for documentation edits and updates.
Interact with internal subject matter experts, production and engineering personnel.
Edit, standardize, or make changes to materials prepared by subject matter experts.
The Technical Writer will obtain/create photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material.
Interface with customers, vendors, engineering and management to establish technical documents for projects and publications.
Support the development and implementation of proposal generation tools and processes under the direction of leadership.
Skills needed to be successful in this position:
The Technical Writer should have the following
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and 2 years of technical industry related experience (Business Administration, Communications, Journalism or a Technical degree), or a minimum of 3 years of technical writing related experience (includes relevant intern, co-op, or basic work experience).
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Adobe and publishing software.
Proposal coordination experience in facilitating people, gathering information, managing proposal assignments of third party writers and packaging written or electronic proposal submissions.
Fully understand, implement, and produce technical documentation.
Excellent Interpersonal skills for collaboration and teamwork.
Fluent in verbal and written English.
