They assist the Office Manager with accounts payable, human resources and accounts receivable tasks.
Their duties and responsibilities may change daily but often include:
Perform all duties pertaining to the daily revenue reconciliation and cash deposit activity.
Process bi-weekly payroll from entry to closing Collecting, filing and organizing office documents, such as reports and confidential records, new hire paperwork and vendor files.
Monitoring office inventory and ordering supplies Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients Generate reports detailing accounts payables status Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes Job Type:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
