Quick Apply Full-time 1 hour ago Full Job Description Job purpose The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the full cycle of paying bills.
This may include purchase orders, contracts, invoices, payment discrepancies, documentation required for payment, and tracking liens.
Duties and responsibilities Oversee payment disbursement activities ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control.
Provide support for internal and external audits.
Maintains and organizes accounting records.
Analyze A/P aging reports to identify critical issues and be proactive to make sure accounts coming due will be funded timely.
Assists in monthly revenue recognition, financial closing process, accounts payable and employee expense processing.
Assist with new project set up and ongoing project accounting maintenance by entering budgets, owner change orders, budget revisions and job cost adjustments.
Coordinate office and/or departmental operations.
Review, track and prepare budgets; maintain records and databases.
Other accounting duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications Minimum of 2-3 years' prior account payables experience Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline preferred Experience with QuickBooks preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to analyze large sets of data Team player that operates well in a small dynamic team environment Construction and/or job costing experience a plus Willing to pass a post-offer drug screen, background, and reference check What We Offer:
